Buiratau state national nature Park was established on March 11, 2011.
National Park «Buiratau» (translated from Kazakh – «Curly mountains») is located in the transition zone between the subzones of moderate-arid and dry steppes, which causes the uniqueness of the territory in a combination of steppe ecosystems with forest (birch Kolki, black Sandstone).
The objects of the protected areas Fund are: forest, geological, hydrogeological, geomorphological, Zoological and Botanical objects.
The territory of the national Park «Buiratau» is located in the center of the Asian continent and therefore has a climate of sharply continental type. The influence of air masses from the Arctic, temperate and southern latitudes causes aridness of the spring-summer period, high summer and low winter temperatures, insufficient and unstable annual precipitation with their summer maximum, and significant wind activity throughout the year.
During the tour, you will visit ancient stone statues-balbaltas (5-8 centuries ad), the famous Saka mounds «with moustaches», and also see many burial grounds of the bronze age.
On this trip, we will get in touch with the history of our ancestors, learn about their beliefs, lifestyle and culture. We will also see beautiful steppes, hills covered with thick grass, and extraordinary mountains
we will also visit Aulie Bulak, a spring that has formed a canyon inside the mountain for many centuries.
